Many of you will have heard that we will have a new DC
at the end of August - Paul Bandy. Ian May will be known to both
previous East Reading and South Reading districts and Ian will be Deputy
DC
Please do all you can to support Paul in his new role.

Ian Kirkham has come to the end of his 5 year term &
the District is grateful for all that he has done, particularly in
taking over after an interregnum!
We hope to see him in another role in the district.

The District was
formed in 1992 from Reading South and Reading Thameside and we also
gained three Groups from Reading East District, as a very welcome
addition to the District.
The area covered includes East Reading, part of Earley, Whitley, Shinfield,
Coley, Southcote, part of Tilehurst,
Caversham & Emmer Green.
The District Team is
headed by experienced and trained warranted leaders and is supported by an elected team of adults, who head the District
Administration.
Adult Training is
supported from the County Training Team - All adults
in Scouting give their time voluntarily.
